What Our Guarantee Covers
We issue a written guarantee certificate on completion of every roofing job in Eastbourne and East Sussex. The guarantee is not a verbal assurance — it is a written document that references your property address, the work carried out, the date of completion, and the terms of the guarantee. You receive it on the day the job is finished.
10-Year Workmanship Guarantee
Our 10-year workmanship guarantee covers failures caused by how the work was carried out. This includes: tile and slate failures caused by incorrect fixing or bedding; mortar failures caused by incorrect mix specification or application; lead flashing failures caused by incorrect dressing, insufficient overlap, or inadequate fixing; flat roof failures caused by installation error including inadequate deck preparation; and guttering and roofline failures caused by incorrect bracket fixing or profile selection.
The guarantee does not cover: storm damage or acts of God; deterioration from normal weathering beyond the expected product lifespan; subsequent third-party interference with the roof; or structural movement of the building causing roof failure unrelated to the roofing work itself.
25-Year GRP Flat Roof Product Guarantee
GRP fibreglass flat roofs carry an additional manufacturer's product guarantee covering the GRP laminate for 25 years. This covers delamination, loss of adhesion and membrane failure under normal use conditions. The product guarantee is issued alongside our workmanship guarantee on completion of every flat roof job.
Transferability
Both guarantees are transferable to subsequent property owners during the guarantee period. The certificate references the property address. If you sell your property, provide the certificate to the buyer — it remains valid for the remainder of the term without any re-registration or fee.
Making a Claim
Call us, describe the problem, and we will attend within 5 working days to assess it. If the issue falls within the guarantee terms, remedial work is carried out at no charge. We do not charge call-out fees for guarantee assessments and we do not charge for materials or labour on remedial work. If we determine the failure falls outside the guarantee terms, we will explain our reasoning in writing before any chargeable work is proposed.
